Installing an eSIM adds a mobile profile to your phone. Activating a package starts its service or validity according to that package’s rules. These steps do not always happen at the same time.
Read your package activation policy
Check the selected plan’s product details before installing. Some packages start on purchase or installation; others start on first use on a supported network. Do not assume every package waits until you arrive.
Prepare your device
Confirm eSIM support and carrier-unlocked status. Connect to reliable Wi-Fi and follow the installation email. Keep your eSIM and QR code; do not delete or move the profile unless support confirms this is supported.
Connect at your destination
Select the travel eSIM for mobile data and enable data roaming for that eSIM when instructed by your plan. Keep data roaming off for your home SIM and disable automatic mobile-data switching if you want to avoid using your home plan abroad.
